Mary Buchan and the Sabrina shipwrecks

On my way home I want to make one last stop to see how the Sabrina (wreck in red) looked in a lower tide. I decided to capture another close by wreck (Mary Buchan) along with the Sabrina in the background.

Tramore strand is a very wide beach during low tide and where the wind and waves leave these lines in the sand that lead your eyes out to the sun beams dancing in the distance.

Finally able to see the beach after a 20 minute walk over the grassy sand dunes. The grass covered dunes frame the path leading you to the beach.

Cows blocking the road

We were stopped on the road in a random Irish valley where we ran into a traffic jam with the cows moving around to graze. We were looking at the cows and this shot looks like all the cows are saying look people.

Great Pollet Sea Arch

I managed to get a few different perspectives of this arch but this one I liked the best as it shows the top of the arch down to the sea.

An early morning start in order to get to Fanad Lighthouse at dawn. This was the only bit of color we saw this morning.

This is the last shot I was able to get without getting water in the boots I was wearing. This long exposure allows the clouds to stretch and water to even out.

Three wrecks near Magheroarty

The three wrecks near Magheroarty on the coast of Ballyness Bay. I wanted to capture all three so I decided to do a panorama in order to get them all and keep some detail.

Here a small boat was wrecked and beached where it will likely sit until the wood rots away.

Here the stormy clouds and light stone of the grave lend this picture to look better in black and white opposed to color. In order to capture this shot used my tilt-shift lens to take a vertical panorama in order to get the entire church with the grave.

Here I captured the water as it retreated back to the bay during one of the waves on the rocky shore.

After sunrise I was treated with a bright rainbow where I changed lenses in order to get a close view.

Here on the southern part of Mulroy bay the Sabrina shipwreck sits tied to the shore on a stormy Irish evening just before the rain hit.

Mevagh graveyard had many old and newer grave stones. Here one of the oldest a large carved stone is framed by an opening showing the old cross.

Marble Arch

To get to this point I had to scale down the rocky cliff face you see on the right side of the picture. I had to climb it twice due to my remote not working for me the first time.

Here you can see Marble Arch and all the turbulent water crashing on the coast. To get to this arch one of our guides talked to the local farmer to get permission to walk across his fields in order to get here quicker.

After shooting the color from sunrise the water was still high enough and calm enough to get a good reflection of the building on the pier.

Errigal mountain peak in the Derryveagh Mountains in Donegal, Ireland (Ireland's highest mountain peak). This was one of the few times we saw it out of the clouds.

Had to walk through a bog to get this shot but luckily I didn't sink through like some others did. Here I'm capturing the rapid movement of the water with some heather to add a little pop of color.

Breeches arch is a nice triangle shaped arch on the north western coast of Ireland. I'm taking a Long exposure from high above on the cliff top getting the heather in the foreground running along the fence line.
