A spot made popular by Ansel Adams I add one of my favorite photographic elements, the sunburst as it appears above the top rocks directing your view out the valley floor.
The nights transition from darkness to light as the sun brings an orange glow to the horizon but the rest of the sky is still dark enough to make out constellations (the big dipper is on the left of the picture). This shot was taken near the visitor center in Monument Valley Utah.
